Wayne D. Sprouse; 72; of
Brownsville; died Sunday; Feb. 14;
1988; at his residence.
Born in Monessen on July 31;1915;
he was the son of the late Hollis C.
and Mary V. Moyer Sprouse.
He retired in 1975 from the
Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.;
Allenport Plant; where he was a
stacker in the shears department for
25 years.
He was a member of the Fort Burd
United Presbyterian Church;
Brownsville.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of
World War II; and was a member of
the Brownsville American Legion
Post 940.
He was member of the
Steelworkers Union and a social
member of the Hiller Fire Hall.
In addition to his parents; he was
preceded in death by his wife; Ruth
Ann Randolph Sprouse in 1980; one
brother; Argust Sprouse; one sister;
Evelyn Sprouse Brown; and a sister;
in infancy.
Surviving are one daughter; Sandra
Lee Sprouse; at home; three
nephews; Keith Sprouse of Florida;
Grant E. Brown of Michigan; and
Ned Brown of Ohio; and two nieces;
Janice Sprouse Dalton of Maryland;
and Carol Brown Townsend of New
Jersey.
Friends will be received at the
Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home;
126 Front St.; Brownsville; on Tuesday
from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Wedneday at 10 a.m.in the funeral home;with Pastor Andrew T.Barton of the Fort Burd United Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery;where full military services will be held. The Norman J.Wimer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
