Ida A. sloboda of 667 Washington Ave.,Charleroi died Thursday,April 23,1987,at home. She was 83. Mrs. Sloboda was born Sept. 20,1903, in Chambersburg, a daughter of the late John E. and Nannie Newroth Anthony. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Charleroi. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Sloboda on Dec. 19,1983 and by two brothers, Harry and Edward Anthony. Survivors include one brother, John D. Anthony of Charlotte, N.C.;one sister,Elizabeth Brightwell of Belle Vernon and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home,Inc. 226 Fallowfield Ave.,Charleroi Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.,at which time services will be held with the Rev. James M. Robbins,pastor of Christ Lutheran Church of Charleroi, officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home,Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
