Jean Castelli Spada of 600 Graham St.;Belle Vernon;died Saturday morning;Jan.12;1985;in the Mon Valley Hospital. She was 85. Mrs.Spada was born Sept.5;1899;in San Palo;Brazil;a daughter of the late Virgil and Amelia Castelli. A Belle Vernon resident since 1969;she was Catholic by faith. Mrs.Spada retired in 1962 from the finishing department of Corning Glass Works;Charleroi. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers;Triano and Ovido. Survivors include a son;Leo A.Spada Sr.of Charleroi;a daughter;Mrs.Cleo Capco of Belle Vernon;with whom she made her home;three sisters;Mrs.Josephine Sylvester of Castle Shannon;Mrs.Joseph (Angeline) Priete of Pittsburgh and Mrs.Robert (Verna) Philps of Gaithersburg;Md.;four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave;Belle Vernon;where a blessing service will be held Tuesday;Jan.15;at 11 a.m. with the Rev.Pierre Sodini;pastor of Mother of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church of Charleroi;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
