Alexander Stura;formerly of James Street;Belle Vernon;died Thursday;Dec.13;1984;at noon in Westmoreland Manor;Hempfield Township. He was 87. Born Jan.11;1897;in Turin;Italy;he was the son of the late John and Irene Stura. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by two brothers;Angelo and Edward Stura;and two sisters;Mary Ann and Esther. Surviving are two sons;John Stura and George (Fuzzy) Stura;both of Belle Vernon;two daughters;Mrs.William (Norma) Wolf of Lawton;Okla.and Mrs.Frank (Nancy) Rizzuto of Monessen;seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mr.Stura was a resident of the Belle Vernon community for the past 48 years. He was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon and a past member of the East Belle Vernon Athletic Association and Italian Beneficial Society. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where a prayer service will be held Saturday at noon. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. at St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
