Obituary
Mary Stanko of Belle Vernon R.D.5 died Thursday, March 24,1983 at 9:15 p.m. in Lafayette Manor. She was 80. Mrs. Stanko was born March 15,1903,in Perryopolis,a daughter of the late Paul and Anna Geregash. She had been a resident of the Belle Vernon (Fairhope) area for 48 years.In addition to her parents,Mrs. Stanko was preceded in death by her husband, John,in 1965 and two sons, Fred in 1951 and Edward in 1968. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Charles K. (Mary) Males of Belle Vernon R.D.5; one son,Paul of Monessen;one step-son,George of Brownstown, 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Monday,March 28,at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Frank DePolo,pastor of the Covenant Christian Church of Belle Vernon,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D. Ferguson,funeral director, is in charge of arrangements.
