Obituary
Louis Sotta of 126 Dinsmore St.,Belle Vernon,died Wednesday, Sept. 22,1982 at 4:15 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. He was 75. Mr. Sotta was born April 26,1907 in Austria,a son of the late Louis and Rose Gunter Sotta. He retired in 1970 from employment with the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation. Mr. Sotta was a resident of the Belle Vernon area the past 50 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church,Belle Vernon. Mr.Sotta was preceded in death by a daughter, Lorraine Evans in March of 1979. Surviving are his wife,Alice Rose Sotta, at home,one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Harlene) Sale of Boiling Springs,Pa.;one brother,Ciryl Sotta of Belle Vernon;three sisters, Mrs. Kathryn King of Kensington,Md.,Mrs. Delina Scamack of Castle Shannon,Pa.,and Mrs. Josephine DeNardo of San Jose,Calif;seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home,with the Rev. Charles Colas,pastor of First Baptist Church, Belle Vernon,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
