Obituary

Albert J.Spanish of 1115 Rear Henry St.,Rostraver Twp.,died Tuesday,Aug.31,1982,at 6 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. He was 88. Mr.Spanish was born June 10,1894,in Italy,a son of the late Frank and Dominica DiDonato Spagunolo. A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area,Mr.Spanish was a member of St.Sebastian R.C.Church. H was a retired craneman for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.,Gibsonton Yards. A U.S.Army veteran of World War I,Mr.Spanish was a member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Monessen Aerie No.2199. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother,Edmido Spagunolo,in 1957. Survivors include one son,Frank A.Spanish of Apache Junction,Ariz.,three daughters,Mrs. Edward (Gilda) Gladys of Belle Vernon,Mrs.John (Norma) Gillo of Lynnwood and Mrs.Martin (Jean) Nogy of Belle Vernon,one brother,Herman Spagunolo of Clearwater,Fla,two sisters,Adelia Daltorio and Secondina Mancini,boh of Italy,seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where a blessing service will be held on Friday,Sept.3, at 10 a.m. Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 services will be held on Thursday at 7:15 p.m.at the funeral home. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
