Obituary

JoAnn Wilson, 62, of Monongahela, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020 at home as a result of injuries sustained in a house fire. A daughter of the late Thomas Slavik and Stepanie Petelicki Slavik, who survives and resides in Dunlevy, she was born in Rosieres Cher, France on April 30, 1957. JoAnn graduated from Belle Vernon Area School District in 1975 and the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy spending many years as a beautician. She was a member of St. Sebastian R.C. Church, and was an avid gardener and animal lover. Survivors, in addition to her mother include, one sister, Aileen “Kiki” (Michael) Kremer of Gulf Port, Florida, two brothers, Michael Slavik of Belle Vernon, and Thomas (Marie) Slavik of Monongahela, and her cat Duster. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia Zimmerman in 2013, and a brother, Erik Slavik in 2017. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Foster House II in Belle Vernon on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 6 P.M.
