Greensburg. She was 64.
Mrs. Stieska was born April
7;1917; in Monessen. a
daughter of the late William
E. and Ruth Kulow Hopton.
A Monessen resident for
most of her life; Mrs. Stieska
was a member of St. Paul’s
Lutheran Church; Monessen;
and was serving as president
of the Lutheran Church
Women of St. Paul’s.
She was past president of
the Monessen PTA and the
Monessen Women’s Club and
a member of the Church
Women United of Monessen.
She was serving as director
and corresponding secretary
of Westmoreland County’s
Federation of Women’s
Clubs;District 4.
Her husband; John R.
Stieska; a Monessen pharmacist;
preceded her in death
in January 1973.
Survivors include four
daughters; Mrs. Edward
(Suzanne) Galando of Jeannette;
Mrs. Joseph
(Stephanie) Broglie of Provo;
Utah; and Mrs. Lawrence
(Roberta) Blumenthal and
Miss Sallyann Stieska; both of Somers point;N.J.;five grandchildren and two sisters;Mrs.Steve (Betty) Sweda and Mrs.Leona Kelly;both of Garden City;Mich.Friends will be received In the Rhome
Funeral Home Inc.; 1209

7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and
Sunday. Services will be held
Monday at 11 a.m. In St.
Paul’s Lutheran Church;
Monessen; with the Rev.
Russell E. Vance pastor;
officiating. Interment will be
In Belle Vernon Cemetery.
