Albert J.Salvino;owner and operator of Al’s Barber Shop in Monessen;died Tuesday;Oct.20;1981 at 7:30 a.m.in Washington Hospital. Mr.Salvino;74;resided at 437 Reed Ave.;Monessen. Born July 23;1907 in Monessen;he was the son of the late Achille and Louise Venneri Salvino. Mr.Salvino owned and operated Al’s Barber Shop in Monessen for the past 55 years;and was past president of the Barber’s Union. He was a graduate of Monessen High School;class of 1926. He was a member of St.Cajetan’s Church;Monessen;the NIPA;and the Fraternal Order of Eagles AERIE 2399. Survivors include his widow;Mary Sanboryn Salvino;a son;Ronald Salvino of St.Louis;Miss.;two daughters;Mrs.Thomas (Karen) Rockey of Washington;Pa.;and Mrs.Brian (Marilyn) Kuhn of Butler;and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother;George;in 1963. Friends will be received in the Raymond D.Dalfonso Funeral Home;441 Reed Ave.;Monessen;on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A parish Rosary will be recited at the funeral home on Thursday at 8 p.m. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 9:30 a.m.;followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.Cajetan’s Church;Monessen;with the Rev.P.Lino Ramellini;pastor;as celebrant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Raymond D.Dalfonso;funeral director;is in charge of arrangements.
