Helen Jane Stepp Capco; 67; of Fayette City Road; Washington Township; Fayette City; died peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday; April 30; 2002; at 2:55 a.m. after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Born Sept. 23; 1934; in Monessen; she was a daughter of Kathleen O’Brien Stepp; who survives and resides in Fayette City; and the late Clair Stepp. Mrs. Capco was a resident of Fayette City for the past 33 years and was a member of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church; Fayette City. She was retired from the former Charleroi-Monessen Hospital; where she worked as a registered nurse and was also retired from In Home Health Visiting Nurses of Monessen. Mrs. Capco was one of the founding members of the Washington Township Fayette City Ambulance Services; a former member of the Valley Garden Club; a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society; and the Handmaids of Holy Spirit Church. In addition to her mother; Mrs. Capco is survived by her husband; Michael Capco; with whom she would have been married 48 years on May 8; 2002; two daughters and sons-in-law; Carol Ann and Anthony Cintron and Susan and Ronald Raymond; all of Belle Vernon; two sons and one daughter-in-law; Michael G. Capco of Florida and Thomas and Laura Capco of Belle Vernon; one sister and brother-in-law; Patricia and Louis Toth of Fayette City; three brothers and sisters-in-law; Carl R. and Elizabeth Stepp of Harrisburg; John and Brenda Stepp of Texas; and Edward and Reta Stepp of Newell; five grandchildren; Aubrey Cintron; and Ashley; Dustin; Jason and Zachary Capco. In addition to her father; Mrs. Capco was preceded in death by an infant sister; Betty Ellen Stepp. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; family owned and operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon. A prayer service will be held Thursday at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Holy Spirit R.C. Church; Fayette City; with the Rev. John R. Cindric; V.F.; officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A parish rosary will be recited Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
