Mrs.Thomasina Shorter of Pricedale;died at 3:45 a.m.Sunday;Dec.23;1979;in St.Francis Hospital;Pittsburgh;following a short illness. She was 56. Mrs.Shorter was born June 6;1923;in Ridgeway;S.C. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Belle Vernon and Valliars Club of Belle Vernon. Mrs.Shorter also was a member of the Monongahela Valley Branch of the NAACP. Surviving are her husband;Sylvester;at home;five sons;Richard of California;Byron of Maryland;James with the Navy in California;Robert and Eric at home;two daughters;Judith with the Navy in Hawaii and Linda;a student at Edenborne;Pa.;two sisters;Mrs.Merry Ward of Richmond;Calif.and Mrs.Geavina Johnson of Brooklyn;N.Y.;a brother;Alexnder Davis of Hampton;Va.and five grandchildren. Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m.and 7 to 9 p.m.Tuesday and 2 to 4 p.m.Wednesday at the Beverly Draper Funeral Home;608 Sixth St.;Monessen. The body will be taken Wednesday to Antioch Baptist Church;where friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Services will be held at 11 a.m.Thursday at the church with Rev.Luther Wormack officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
