Donald Gordon Smock;58;of Belle Vernon R.D.2;died Saturday;Oct.27;in VA Medical Center;Pittsburgh. He was born Nov.25;1920;in Belle Vernon;son of the late Gilbert F.Smock;who died Oct.21;1974;and Mary Jane Amalong Smock;who survives in Belle Vernon. He was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II;a member of American Legion Post 659 of Belle Vernon and the Rehoboth Presbyterian Church. He was a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon. Survivors include his mother;three daughters;Patty Jo Bartlett;Nancy Lee Smock and Donna Smock;two brothers;Roy Smock of Belle Vernon and Elwood Smock of Uniontown;two grandchildren. Services were held at 2 p.m. this afternoon with the Rev.Allie A.Clayton officiating. Burial was in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
