David Lewis Smith; 28; of
Grindstone; a former resident of
Belle Vernon; died Friday; May
4; 1979 at 11:50 a. m. in
McKeesport Hospital.
He was born March 19;1951; in
New Castle; son of Joseph and
Mary Levine Smith; both of
whom survive.
He was a member of St.
Sebastian Church; Belle Vernon
and had lived in Belle Vernon
until three years ago. He was
also a member of the Belle
Vernon Moose Club.
He had been employed at the
Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.
Other survivors include his
widow; Sandy Lester Smith; one
son; Eric David Smith; a
paternal grandmother; Mary
Smith of New Stanton;
maternal grandmother; Mary
Levine of Yukon; two sisters;
Mrs. Joseph (Marie)
Marshall of Murrysville and
Mrs. Terry (Carol) Tompson of
Charleroi; five brothers; Joseph
of Sterling; Va.; David of Belle
Vernon; Stephen of Monessen;
Martin of Charleroi and Rodger
of Belle Vernon.
A blessing service was held
this morning (Monday) in the
Leonard J Parzynski Funeral
Home; 626 Broad Ave.; North
Belle Vernon; at 9:30; followed
by a Mass of Christian Burial at
St. Sebastian Church at 10
o’clock. Burial was in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
