John W. "Red" Robbins, 71, of 338 Phillips St, Speers Hill, died Monday, Jan. 27, 1997, at his home. Born July 26, 1925, in Fayette City, he was a son of the late William and Pearl Hammond Robbins. A Speers resident the past 46 years, Mr. Robbins was a member of Speers United Methodist Church. He retired in 1987 from the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.,Allenport plant. Mr. Robbins was also a member of Charleroi Elks Lodge 494. Survivors include his wife,Rebecca Speers Robbins, son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey W. and Patsy Robbins of Chesapeake, Va.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Ken Kibler and Cindy and Tom Sukel, both of Fallowfield Township; one brother, Lee Robbins of Dallas, Texas; two sisters. Vivian Saccani of Monongahela and Jeannine Hrovat of Aurora, Ohio: and eight grandchildren, Michael, David and Brian Robbins, Ken and Kelly Kibler, Sam Stockton and Jillian and Maggie Sukel. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc., 700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
