Stella Rogers;77;of Brooklyn;N.Y.;died Tuesday;Dec.10;1996;at 1:10 p.m. in New York. Born Jan.27;1919;in Belle Vernon;she was a daughter of the late John and Marie Ambrose McCune. A member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon;she had lived in New York since 1992. Mrs.Rogers had been a waitress at Rego’s Restaurant in Charleroi for many years. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her first husband;Alvin Peters;in 1950;her second husband;Henry Rogers;in 1987;and a son LeRoy Peters;in 1976. Survivors include one son;John Peters;with whom she resided;one daughter;Carole Lee of Charleroi;one daughter-in-law;Elizabeth Peters of West Haven;Conn.;one brother;Albert McCune of Belle Vernon;four sisters;Rose Zeli;Ange Koslosky and Lena Sichi;all of Belle Vernon;and Dolores Michaux of Charleroi;seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where a prayer service will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m.;followed by Funeral Mass in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon;with the Rev.E.George Saletrik;parochial vicar;as celebrant. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Legion of Mary will recite the Rosary Friday at 3 p.m.in the funeral home. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
