Obituary

Eva Furtak Rusyniak, 94, of 1103 Henry St.. Belle Vernon, died Saturday, Sept. 18, 1993, at 12:50 p.m. in her home. Born Jan. 18, 1899, in Austria, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Florence Howinski Furtak. A lifelong resident of the Mon Valley area, Mrs. Rusyniak was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, Belle Vernon, and its St. Barbara Altar Guild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Rusyniak on Feb. 16, 1961, a son, William Rusyniak, and three sisters, Ann Karbowsky, Mary Honchalk and Olga Karbowsky. Surviving are two sons, Walter Rusyniak of Uniontown and John Rusyniak of Belle Vernon, three daughters, Julia Yuschak and Mrs. John (Dorothy) Ferencz, both of Belle Vernon, and Helen Meluch of Lafayette, Ind.: 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. Relatives and friends will gather Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.in Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church,Mary Street,Belle Vernon,for funeral services,with the Rev.John Kluchko,pastor,officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A Parastas service will be held Monday at 8 p.m.in the funeral home. Arrangements are being handled by the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home.
