Steve T.Rockidge;76;of the Fayette City-Belle Vernon Road;Fayette City R.D.1;died Tuesday;July 24;1990;at 6:35 p.m.in his home following a lengthy illnes. He was born Dec.13;1913;in Fayette City;a son of the late Samuel and Helen Rockidge. He was a member of the Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church;Fayette City. He was a member of the Fairhope Rod and Gun Club and the Naomi Athletic Club. He was a retired coal miner. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his wife;Anna Cope Rockidge on Oct.22;1975. Survivors include one brother;Thomas Rockidge of Charleroi;five sisters;Anna Simmons of Belle Vernon;Helen Rockidge of Coraopolis;Mary Tharp of Cleveland;Barbara Pulaski and Elizabeth Rockidge;both of Charleroi;and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City. Prayer services will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m.in the funeral home;followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church;Fayette City;with the Rev.Richard Mackiewicz;pastor;as celebrant. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. There will be a church wake service Thursday at 8 p.m.in the funeral home. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
