Jack E. Richwine of 529 Blind Lane, Belle Vernon,died Thursday,Dec. 3,1987,at 1:45 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. He was 66. Mr. Richwine was born Sept. 5,1921,in North Charleroi,a son of the late Harry and Anna Jewel Richwine. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church,Monessen,and the Monessen AARP. A resident of Belle Vernon the past 37 years, Mr. Richwine formerly lived in Monessen. AU.S.Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion,of which he was a past commander. Mr. Richwine was also a member of Belle Vernon F&AM Lodge 643 and the Lodge of Perfection,Uniontown. He retired in 1974 as a craneman in the basic oxygen furnace of the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation's Monessen plant. Survivors include his wife,Glenna Sterner Richwine; a daughter, Diane Richwine of Berkley,Calif.;a brother,Harry Richwine of San Antonio, Texas;and two sisters,Mrs. Joseph (Glenda) Surovchak of Belle Vernon R.D.4 and Betty J. Richwind of McAllen, Texas. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Monday,Dec. 7,at 11a.m. with the Rev. Reinold Schlak,pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Monessen,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D. Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
