Andrew J. Rekrut of Keisterville, Pa., died Wednesday, Sept. 3,1980 in Shadyside Hospital,Pittsburgh. He was 64. Mr. Rekrut was born Nov. 22,1915, in Grindstone,Pa.,a son of the late Joseph and Kathryn Kovocik Rrekrut. He was a retired coal miner in the Greene County Robina Mine complex of U.S. Steel Corporation. Mr. Rekrut was a member of St. Casmier's R.C.Church,Keisterville, United Mine Workers of America,District 5, Local 6321,the Keisterville Sportsmans' Club and VFW Post 47, Uniontown. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Earnestie Rekrut,at home; two daughters, Mrs. Theodore (Patricia) Grunwald of Monessen and Mrs. William (Elizabeth) Onesko of Glendora,Calif.; three sisters, Dolores Rekrut of Chicago,Ill.,and Ann LaBlanc and Mary Smygosky,both of Baltimore,Md.,and two grandchildren, William and Sharon Onesko. Friends will be received at the Dearth Funeral Home,35 S. Mills St.,New Salem,Pa. Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and until 10:15 a.m. Monday when brief Prayers will be offered in the funeral home to be followed by an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Casmier's R.C.Church,Keisterville,with the Rev. John T. Sweeney,pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in Sylan Heights Cemetery,Uniontown. The Dearth Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A Rosary will be recited in the funeral home Sunday at 7:30 p.m. ( Mr. Rekrut was moved to Belle Vernon Cemetery on Oct. 11,1984)
