Janet Grant Reichert of Apartment 6-K;215 W.Chocolate Ave.;Hershey;died Saturday;July 9;1983;at 6:36 p.m.in the Hershey Medical Center. She was 82. Mrs.Reichert was born July 24;1900;in Allenport;a daughter of the late Jesse and Mary Reiley Ashley. She was a member of the Ladies Bethany Bible Class of Marion Presbyterian Church. Mrs.Reichert was also a member of the Grange of Red Lion and the AARP. A resident of Hershey since February 1982;she had spent most of her life in the Belle Vernon area. In addition to her parents;Mrs.Reichert was preceded in death by her first husband;Joseph A.Grant;1950;and a son;Joseph E.Grant;1973. Survivors include her husband;Joseph Reichert;three sons;Wilford J.Grant of Ingam;Robert N.Grant of Belle Vernon and Bruce A.Grant of Palmyra;two daughters;Mrs.Leonard (Dorothy Mae) Lisz and Darlene S.Grant Gernet;both of Laurel;Md.;one sister;Mrs.Edith Shopshire of Youngstown;Ohio;18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where services will be held Wednesday;July 13;at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Charles LaPlaca;pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson;funeral director;is in charge of arrangements.
