Emily B. Rettstatt of the Belle Vernon Apartments,Belle Vernon,died Thursday,March 5,1979,at 9:25 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. She was 87. Born in New England,Pa.,on Dec. 7,1891,she was the daughter of the late William and Hannah Booth Bayley. A Presbyterian by faith,Mrs. Rettstatt was a resident of Belle Vernon for three years, and was formerly from Monessen. She was preceded in death by her husband,Charles Rettstatt in 1957. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Franklin (Edna Mae) Garee of Belle Vernon;one sister,Mrs. Gene (Anne) Reece of Monessen;two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,after 7 p.m. Friday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Blessing services will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m.,with the Rev. Howard A. Greenfield of First United Methodist Church,Monessen,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
