Susan Dimperio Pastella, 91,of Monessen passed away on Sunday, Nov. 26,2000,in Havencrest Nursing Center, Carroll Township. Born Jan. 9,1910,in Monessen,she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Marie Dimperio. A lifelong resident of Monessen,she was preceded in death by her husband,Carmine;a son, Carmine Jr.;and a brother,Raymond Dimperio. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church of Monessen and the Confraternity of Christian Mothers and Mutual Aid Society of the church. Surviving are four sons and three daughters-in-law,Robert A. Pastella of Apple Valley,Cal.,Donald R. and Barbara Pastella of Yorktown,Va.,Glenn D. and Nancy Pastella of Flagstaff,Ariz. and Richard S. and Alice Pastella of Monessen; 11 grandchildren,five great-grandchildren,one great-great-grandchild,one brother, Domenic Dimperio of Monessen;three sisters,Pearl Tronti of Lakeview,Ark.,Eleanor Ketter of Woodinville,Wash.,and Madaline Winfield of Augusta,Maine and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Rhome Funeral Home Inc.,a Golden Rule funeral home,1209 Grand Blvd.,Monessen,on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday at 10 a.m. and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
