Obituary

Josephine Costanza Petitto,91,of 516 Rear Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Wednesday,Oct.11,2000,at 3:30 a.m. in the Jefferson Health Center. She was born Dec.28,1908,in Charleroi,a daughter of the late Peter and Nicolina Todaro Costanza. Mrs.Petitto was a resident of the Belle Vernon community since 1939 and was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. A homemaker,she was a member of the Sons of Italy,Monessen Lodge. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband,Frank Petitto,in 1949,and a brother,Alfred Costanzo. Survivors include two daughters,Roseann Houdyschell and Mary Theresa Lux,both of Belle Vernon,five grandchildren,Jon Eric Houdyschell of Richmond,Va.,Jeffrey Houdyschell of Indianapolis,Ind.,Lisa Kutcy of Charleroi,James Michael Lux Jr.of Smithton and Cathy Joe Phillips of Morgantown,W.Va.,six great-grandchildren,Ashley Ann Houdyschell,Alyson Houdyschell,Amber Leigh Kutcy,Jenna Marie Kutcy,Britney Renee lux and Cody James Phillips,and four brothrs,Peter Costanza of Point St.Lucie,Fla.,Samuel Costanza of Charleroi,Nino Costanza of Hollywood,Fla.and Charles Costanza of Charleroi. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the LEONARD J.PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME,family owned and operated,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. Prayer service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home,followed by funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon,with the Rev.Donald Trexler,Parochial Vicar,as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Legion of Mary will recite the Rosary at 3 p.m. Friday in the Funeral Home. The North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department will pay its respects at 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
