Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 13,1999 for Olive P. "Nannie" Payton,90,of Charleroi,who died Saturday,Dec.11,1999,in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Born Jan. 17,1909,in Fayette City,she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Susie Brown Evans. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law,James and Barbara Payton of Florida;two daughters,Mary Everly and Audrey Borne,both of Charleroi;14 grandchildren;18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,James L. Payton;a son,Joseph Payton;one sister,Hazel Jenkins;and six brothers,George,Russell,Joseph,Robert,Alden and Nathan Evans. Interment was in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home Inc.,Charleroi,was in charge of arrangements.
