Obituary

Irma L. Jackson Potts, 55, of 129 Krolic St., Belle Vernon (Arnold City), died Monday, Aug. 19, 1996, at 4:15 a.m. at home. She was born Nov. 28, 1940, in Arnold City, a daughter of the late Abraham Jackson and of Beatrice Vales Jackson Summers, who survives and resides in Belle Vernon. Mrs. Potts was a resident of Arnold City for the past five years, previously residing in Pittsburgh. She was a member of the Pleasant Green A.M.E. Church of Pricedale, where she also served as a stewardess. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Ernest Potts, three stepsons, Quintin Potts of Williamsport, Martin Potts of the state of Arizona and Grant Potts of Pittsburgh, one stepdaughter, Mindy Potts of Philadelphia, a sister, Mrs. Rick (Elizabeth) Harris of Belle Vernon and three step-grandchildren. In addition to her father,she was preceded in death by a daughter,Elizabeth Ann Jackson. Friends will be received Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m.in the Pleasant Green A.M.E.Church,Johnson Ave.,Pricedale. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m.in the Pleasant Green A.M.E.Church with the Rev.Robert Bailey,pastor,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,is in charge of the arrangements.
