Darlene Scott Patterson,56,of 205 Lorraine Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Thursday,June 1,1995 at 4:50 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Township. Born Nov. 4,1938,in North Charleroi,she was the daughter of the late Robert Scott and Elizabeth Mears Scott Smith of Mansfield,who survives. A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area,Mrs. Patterson was a member of First Baptist Church. She was employed as a nurse's aide at Baldwin Health Center. In addition to her father,she was preceded in death by a son,Kevin Patterson,in 1960. Surviving,in addition to her mother,are one son,Douglas J. Patterson of Belle Vernon;one daughter,Mrs. Robert (Lori) Kostella of Perryopolis;two sisters,Mrs. Wayne (Donna) Dias of Haines City,Fla.,and Mrs. Dale (Bobbie Ann) Stone of Mansfield;and one ganddaughter,Melissa Kostella. Friends will be received Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Thomas St. Clair,pastor of First United Methodist Church,Belle Vernon,officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home.
