Mary E.Paterline of Charleroi died Wednesday;Sept.28;1988 in Jefferson Center Hospital. She was 78. Mrs.Paterline was born Oct.27;1909;in Pueblo;Colo.;a daughter of the late John and Jeromine Montabone Syes. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Charleroi and the Corning Retirees Association. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband;Edward J.Paterline Sr.;a brother;Clifford Strader;and two sisters;Sadie Patrick and Ethyl Gonzales. Mrs.Paterline was retired from Corning Glass;Charleroi plant. Survivors include two sons;Edward J.Paterline Jr.of Mascoutah;Ill.;and Lloyd W.Paterline of Polk;one daughter;Mrs.Ronald (Ethyl) Fallet of Monessen;one brother;Elmer Syes of Fallowfield Township;six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home;Inc.;226 Fallowfield Ave.;Charleroi. Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m.in the funeral home;with the Rev.Dr.George Hickok;pastor;First Christian Church;Charleroi;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
