James Franklin (Frank)Polen of 420 Henry St.;Belle Vernon (Rostraver Twp.);died Saturday.Oct.12;1985;at 8 p.m. in the Sandy McLuckie Personal Care Home;Monessen. Mr.Polen was born in Smithfield;Ohio;a son of the late John and Eva Crisswell Polen. A resident of the Belle Vernon area the past 45 years;he was a Presbyterian by faith. Mr.Polen was a retired freight agent from the Pennyslvania and West Virginia Railroad;now known as the Norfolk and Western Railroad. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his wife;Martha Rupert Polen;on July 13;1968;and by two brothers;Harry Polen and J.Dean Polen. Survivors include a son;Richard Polen of Morgantown;W.Va.;two daughters;Sue C.Miller of Belle Vernon and Marianne Reday of Levittown;Pa.;one brother;Robert Polen of Hopedale;Ohio;two sisters;Mary Dickerson of Hopedale;Ohio;and Dayse Polen of Smithfield;Oh;six grandchildren;and two great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 7 to 9 p.m. in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where services will be held Tuesday;Oct.15;at 11 a.m. with the pastor of the Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
