Anna Kassik Pobok of 821 Henry St.,Belle Vernon,died Saturday, March 24,1984,at 1:45 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Twp. She was 89. Mrs. Pobok was born Dec. 19,1894,in Czechoslovakia,a daughter of the late Frank and Katherine Ziza Kassik. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Pobok,on March 9,1980,and also several brothers and sisters. Surviving are one son, Michael Pobok of Monessen; two daughters, Mrs. William George (Anna) Hussar of Belle Vernon and Mrs. Albert (Mary) Brassart of Fairhope;seven grandchildren;13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon community,Mrs. Pobok was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church,Belle Vernon,and its St. Barbara's Guild; and the Lubov Lodge. Friends will be received at the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Parastas Service will be held Sunday at 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Relatives and friends are invited to meet at Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church,Mary St.,Belle Vernon,on Monday at 9 a.m.for services,with the Rev. John J. Kluchko,pastor,as celebrant. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
