Obituary

Alexander J.Pollack of Brownstown,Fayette City R.D.1,died Tuesday,Aug.31,1982,at 12:45 a.m.in the Mon Valley Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 63. Mr.Pollack was born Jan.14,1919,in Monessen,a son of the late Karl and Anna Pollack. He was a member of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church,Fayette City. A retired employee of the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.,Mr. Pollack served with the U.S.Army during Wold War II. Survivors include his widow,Margaret Bolchak Pollack,one son,Thomas of South Park Twp.,two daughters,Mrs.Richard (Ann) Revak and Mrs.Kevin (Sandy) Whetzel,both of Fayette City,four grandchildren,two brothers,Stephen of Bethel Park and Edward of Monessen,and one sister,Mrs.John (Eleanor) Leska of Fayette City R.D. Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Prayer service will be held in Thursday,Sept,2,at 9:30 a.m.in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in Holy Spirit R.C.Church,Fayette City,with the Rev. Thomas G.Rinn,pastor of the church,as celebrant. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Rosary will be recited in the funeral home on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.and a Parish Prayer service will be held on Wednesday at 8 p.m.in the funeral home. The Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
