Obituary

North Charleroi Mayor Bruno Pietrucci,of 543 Conrad Ave.,died Wednesday,August 13,1980 in Mercy Hospital,Pittsburgh. Mr.Petrucci,71,in his first term as mayor,was active in North Charleroi politics,having served as a councilman there since 1942. He was born July 18,1909 in Sunnyside,the son of the late Peter and Blanche Pollacci Petrucci. He had been a resident of North Charleroi since 1910. Mayor Petrucci was a member of Mother of Sorrows R.C.Church,the Italia Unita Club,Elks Lodge No.494,V.F.W.Post 167,and the American Legion Post 22,all of Charleroi. He also belonged t the American Citizens Club of North Charleroi and the Lock 4 Volunteer Fire Department. He was a retired self-employed businessman,and was a veteran of the U.S.Navy.having served in the South Pacific during World War II. Survivors include two brothers,Elio Petrucci of Detroit,Mich.,and Aleo (Babe) Petrucci of Monongahela R.D.2,a sister,Mrs.Nellie Gerein of North Charleroi,his best friend,Clara Husovitz,with whom he resided,two nephews,a niece and two great-nieces. Friends will be received in the Carl J.Spallino Funeral Home,819 Fallowfield Ave.,Charleroi,on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Blessing service will be held at the funeral home Saturday at 11 a.m.with the Rev.John J.Thomas,pastor of Mother of Sorrows R.C.Church,Charleroi,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Carl J.Spallino Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
