Mary Lou Owens,64,of Main Street, Pricedale,died Monday,March 17,1997,at 12:30 a.m. in her home. She was born June 10,1932, a daughter of the late George H. Baldwin Sr. and Violet Lynn Foor, who survives and resides in Smithton. Mrs. Owens was a member of Pricedale Union Church. She had resided in Pricedale for the past 12 years,having previously lived in Gillespie. She was one of the founders of the Washington Township/Fayette City Ambulance Service, where she volunteered as an EMT for many years. She was also a former employee of the former Charland,as a seamstress. Mrs. Owens was also active in the I.L.G.W.U. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Owens in 1980. Survivors include one son, Robert E. Lees Jr.,with whom she made her home; one daughter,Mrs. Malvern (Mercedes) Anthony of Smithton; one brother,George Henry Baldwin Jr. of Perryopolis; three grandchildren,Robert Lees III,Richard Lees,and Kristen Lees and four great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Ferguson Funeral Home,Inc. 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
