Charles Ray Buck Osborne;84;of Fayette City R1 (Brownstown);died Tuesday;Aug.20;1996;in Mon Valley Hospital following a short illness. Born 17;1912;in Washington Township;Fayette County;he was the son of the late James Buck and Mary Jane Hency Osborne. Mr.Osborne served with the U.S.Army during World War II in the European-African-Middle-Eastern campaign. He was a member of Brightwell-Daugherty American Legion Post 484;Fayette City. He was a member of the Fayette City United Presbytertian Church. He was retired from the Allenport plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. In addition to his parents;he was preceed in death by a brother;Thomas J.Osborne;and two sisters;Mary Ann Hale and Alice Stone. Surviving are his wife;Ida Mae Harply Osborne;one son and daughter-in-law;Fredric and Adrienne Osborne of Albuquerque;N.M.;two grandsons;Curtis and Arron Osborne;two sisters and a brother-in-law;Olive and Willis Johnson of Fayette City R.D.and Vera Yannacci of Masontown;and a brother-in-law and his wife;Bill and Mary Lou Harply of Cranberry Township and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.and Friday until 11 a.m.in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City. Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m.in the funeral home;followed by interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home.
