Obituary

Charles Ray Buck Osborne,84,of Fayette City R1 (Brownstown),died Tuesday,Aug.20,1996,in Mon Valley Hospital following a short illness. Born 17,1912,in Washington Township,Fayette County,he was the son of the late James Buck and Mary Jane Hency Osborne. Mr.Osborne served with the U.S.Army during World War II in the European-African-Middle-Eastern campaign. He was a member of Brightwell-Daugherty American Legion Post 484,Fayette City. He was a member of the Fayette City United Presbytertian Church. He was retired from the Allenport plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. In addition to his parents,he was preceed in death by a brother,Thomas J.Osborne,and two sisters,Mary Ann Hale and Alice Stone. Surviving are his wife,Ida Mae Harply Osborne,one son and daughter-in-law,Fredric and Adrienne Osborne of Albuquerque,N.M.,two grandsons,Curtis and Arron Osborne,two sisters and a brother-in-law,Olive and Willis Johnson of Fayette City R.D.and Vera Yannacci of Masontown,and a brother-in-law and his wife,Bill and Mary Lou Harply of Cranberry Township and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.and Friday until 11 a.m.in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City. Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m.in the funeral home,followed by interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home.
