Helen O. Corbish Onofrey,81,of 1003 Brown St.,Belle Vernon,died Saturday,April 13,1996,at 12:30 a.m. in South Hills Convalescent Home,Canonsburg. She was born Dec. 22,1914,in Canonsburg,a daughter of the late Charles and Hazel Honchalk Corbish. She was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. She was a lifelong member of the Belle Vernon community. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Lois) Olexa of Perryopolis,Mrs. Richard (Nancy) Gearing of Upper St. Clair,Lynn Sabol of Belle Vernon,and Mrs. Richard (Mary Lou) Kohut of Monessen; six grandchildren and one sister Torrance Jackowski of Monessen. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Onofrey on Jan. 27,1981;and several brothers and sisters. Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. A Prayer service will be held Monday at 9 a.m.,followed by Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon,with the Rev. John R. Cindric,pastor,as celebrant. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
