Obituary

Theodore J.Organ Sr.of 36 Aliquippa Ave.,Monessen,died suddenly Tuesday,Aug.13,1985,in Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Twp. He was 59. Mr.Organ was born Nov.5,1925,in Monessen,a son of the late Anthony and Kathryn Owsiany Organ. He was a retired foreman in the Coal Roll Deduction Department of U.S.Steel Corporation's Irvin Works. Mr.Organ was a life-long resident of Monessen. He was a member of St.Hyacinth Church and PNA Group No.1146,both of Monessen. He was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II. In addition to his parents,Mr.Organ was preceded in death by two brothers,Edward Organ in December,1982,and Fred Organ in July,1985. Surviving are his wife,Evelyn Conner Organ,two sons,Theodore J.Organ Jr.of Warwick,R.I.,and Thomas Organ of Ft.Wayne,Ind.,three grandchildren,and one sister,Mrs.Bruno (Bertha) Kurpis of Warren,Mich. Friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Robert A.Billick Funeral Home,Inc.,Grand Blvd.and Marion Ave.,Monessen. A Parish Rosary will be recited Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. A Blessing Service will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home,followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St.Hyacinth Church,Monessen,with the Rev.Lawrence Hoppe,pastor,as celebrant. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery,Belle Vernon,Pa. The Robert A.Billick Funeral Home,Inc.,is in charge of arrangements.
