Lonnie Osborne of 408 Kirkpatrick St.;Pittsburgh;formerly of Belle Vernon;died Saturday July 23;1983;in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Twp. He was 69. Mr.Osborne was born Jan.18;1914;in Norfolk;Va.;a son of the late Coy and Pearl Osborne. He never married. Mr.Osborne was a retired employee of the Jones and Laughlin Steel Corp.;Pittsburgh. A U.S.Army veteran;he was also a former member of the Speers AME Church in Belle Vernon. He was preceded in death by a brother;William Osborne. Surviving are four brothers;Waymon and Dwight Osborne;both of Donora;and Samuel and Herman Osborne;both of Belle Vernon;four sisters;Rose Callahan of Youngstown;Ohio;Mattie Marie Osborne of New York City;N.Y.;Mabel Osborne of Belle Vernon and Bessie Wood of Pittsburgh and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home;608 Sixth St.;Monessen Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m.and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 11 a.m.;with the Rev.Luther Womack;pastor of Antioch Baptist Church of Belle Vernon;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
