Obituary

Martin (Streamline) Nogy of 937 Graham St.,Belle Vernon,died Friday,Sept. 13,1985,at 9:50 a.m. in the Veterans' Administration Hospital,Oakland,Pittsburgh. He was 66. Mr.Nogy was born Nov.2,1918,in Pricedale,a son of the late Andrew and Ann Nogy. he retired in 1979 from Mathies Mine in Finleyville where he was employed as a track man. A life-long resident of the North Belle Vernon community,Mr.Nogy was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of St.Sebastian's R.C.Church,and American Legion Post No.659,both of Belle Vernon,and UMWA Local Union NO.2244,District 5. In addition to his parents,Mr.Nogy was preceded in death by three brothers,Andrew,Walter and Louis Nogy,and by two sisters,Stella Nogy and Ann Dubinsky. Surviving are his wife,Jean Spanish Nogy,three sons,Martin and Roger Nogy,both of Belle Vernon,and Mark Nogy,at home,three brothers,Michael Nogy of Belle Vernon and Joseph and John Nogy,both of the state of California,two sisters,Mrs.Mary Hornack of Monessen and Mrs.Reno (Sophia) Carini of Belle Vernon,and five grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home,followed by a 10 a.m.Mass of Christian Burial in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
