Gustie O.(Connie) Mackey;70;of Fayette City;formerly of Monessen;died on Sunday;Aug.23;1998;in the Greenery Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center in Canonsburg;following a lengthy illness. She was born in Monessen on Aug.28;1927;a daughter of the late Nicoli and Margaret (Annonio) DeRentis. Mrs.Mackey was a homemker and was Christian by faith. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Charles D.Mackey;in 1985 and by sister;Florence DeRentis. Surviviors include a daughter;Margaret L.(Margo) Hill of Monessen;two brothers;Ralph R.DeRentis of Monessen and Rocco DeRentis of Spotslyvania;Va.;a sister;Anna Ford of Fayette City;five grandchildren;Vincent D.Tartt;Tracie L.Tartt;Rick Gonzales;Eurainia R.Merritt and Seairia D.Henderson;and eight great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Dalsonso-Billick Funeral Home;Inc.;441 Reed Ave.;Monessen. Services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m.in the Newness of Life Ministries;489 McKee Ave.;Monessen;with pastor Terry L.Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
