Marguerite "Dietz" McManus Melvin, 81,of 34 Pacific Blvd., Monessen,died Monday,Dec. 6,1993,at 10:01 p.m. in St. Francis Central Hospital,Pittsburgh. She was born June 28,1912,in Charleroi,a daughter of the late Thomas and Sarah Biddle McManus. Mrs. McManus was a resident of Monessen for the past 10 years and a lifelong resident of the Mon Valley. She was a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Church, Monessen. Mrs. McManus is survived by her husband, Thomas C. Melvin;two sons, Casey Melvin of Warren,Ohio and Paul Melvin of Avon, Conn.;two brothers, Patrick McManus of Allenport and James McManus of Belle Vernon;six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Melvin,a brother,Francis McManus,and four sisters, Alice McManus,Kathleen Conaway,Sarah Johnson nd Romaine McNabb. Friends will be received in the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Prayer service will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 9:30 a.m.,followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
