Nick Malarbi;75;of 1947 Grand Blvd.;Monessen;died Friday;Feb.5;1993;at 6:45 a.m.in Greensburg. He was born March 10;1917;in Bentleyville;a son of the late Rocco and Concetta Papaluca Malarbi. Mr.Malarbi retired in 1981 as a foreman for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. He wa a member of The Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church and the Franco-Belgium Club;both of Monessen. His wife;Edna L.Malarbi;died in 1978. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law;R.Gene and Kay Malarbi of Monessen;five granddaughters;Rochele Cantini of New Eagle;Renee Malarbi of Pittsburgh;Rosalyn Malarbi of Monessen;Rebecca Malarbi of Monessen;and Mary Kay Gatto of Monessen;five sisters;Marie Piccolo in Virginia;and Francine Theodore;Chris Ervin;Gerry Riano and Rita Vallery;all in Ohio;and two brothers;Mike Malarbi in Nebraska and Vince Riano in Ohio. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Raymond D.Dalfonso Funeral Home;441 Reed Ave.;Monessen. A blessing service will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m.;in the funeral home;followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church;Monessen. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Raymond D.Dalfonso Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
