Marcelle Matthews;91;of 5 Wellington Dr.;Belle Vernon;died Monday;June 15;1992;in Hempfield Manor. She was born Dec.27;1900;in France;a daughter of the late Louis and Marie Fleury. Survivors include two sons;Raymond G.Matthews of Belle Vernon and Edward R.Matthews of Charleroi;one daughter;Mrs.Lillian Smereczniak of Belle Vernon R.D.5;one sister;Ida Rollet of France;seven grandchildren;and 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Jules Matthews in 1976. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the James C.Stump Funeral Home Inc.;Sweeney Plan;Rostraver Township;where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev.Jim Hartzler officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The James C.Stump Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
