Mary Costello Makovsky,70,Johnson Avenue, Pricedale,died Monday,Feb. 17,1992,at 4 p.m. in Jefferson Hospital. She was born Aug. 22,1921,in Smithdale,a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Pavlick Costello. Mrs. Makovsky was a member of the Union Church of Pricedale and had resided in Pricedale most of her life. She is survived by her husband,Ted makovsky; one son,George Pollock of Belle Vernon; one sister,Mrs. John (Anna) Skurkay of Belle Vernon,eight grandchildren,Chris Pollack,Lori Pollack,Cheryl Sztroin,Bobby Pollack,Nikki Pollack,Tim Spring,Sue Spring and Kathy Spring and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by a son,Robert J. Pollock. Friends will be received at the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeal Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. David R. Reeves Jr.,pastor of the Pricedale Union Church,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
