Obituary

Jules S.Monack,90,of Charleroi,died Tuesday,Feb.12,1991,at 9:25 p.m.in Haven Crest Inc.,Carroll Township. He was born May 21,1900,in Charleroi,a son of the late Michael and Rose DiDonato Monack. A graduate of Charleroi High School,Mr.Monack was a member of BPO Elks Lodge 494 and a life member of the Italia Unita Club,both of Charleroi. He was the former owner and operator of Monack Produce Company in Charleroi,retiring in 1982. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by his wife,Emma Jane Nelson Monack,in 1976,three sisters,Mary,Emma and Della Monack,and one brother,Anthony Monack. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law,Jack N.and Carol Monack of Van Wert,Ohio,one daughter,Wanda Monack,with whom he made his home,five brothers,Arthur,Armand,Ronald and Norman Monack,all of Charleroi,and Martin Monack of Canonsburg,five sisters,Clotilda Baker,Mrs.Max (Tressa) Foehringer and Mrs.Michael (Jean) Nisinski,all of Charleroi,Anna Behanna of Arnold and Olivia Bruckner of Downey,Calif.,two granddaughters,Mrs.Paul (Nancy) Armstrong of Dyersburg,Tenn.,and Mrs.Douglas (Susan) Kreitzer of Naperville,Ill.,and two great-grandsons,David and Michael Kreitzer. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Ferguson Funeral Home,Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m.with Dr.George Hickok,pastor of First Christian Church of Charleroi,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. BPOE services will be held Thursday at 8 p.m.in the funeral home. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
