Berardino (Bill) Manetta, 91,of Smithton R.D.1, formerly of Monessen and Belle Vernon,died Friday, Oct. 19,1990,at 12:15 a.m. in Frick Community Hospital. He was born June 5,1899, in Italy, a son of the late Franchesco and Angela Taddari Manetta. He was formerly employed at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.,Monessen Plant,where he was a foreman in the blooming mill. He was a member of the Monessen Sons of Italy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Manetta in 1973 and one son, Frank Manetta in 1980. Survivors include three sons, Vincent (Jim) Manetta of Belle Vernon, Bernard Manetta of Denver, Colo and Gino Manetta,with whom he made his home; six grandchildren,six great-grandchildren and one brother, Andrew Manetti of Monessen. Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Raymond D. Dalfonso Funeral Home, 441 Reed Ave.,Monessen,where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Frank Rocco of The Church,Sutersville,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Raymond D. Dalfonso Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
