Obituary

Minnie Mullen of Fairhope,Belle Vernon died Saturday Nov.2,1985,at 9:50 p.m.in her home after a lengthy illness. She was 88. Mrs.Mullen was born Sept.1,1897,in Rostraver Twp.,Westmoreland County,a daughter of the late Angelo and Mary Lanese Vitullo. She was a member of the Marion United Presbyterian Church and had served as a Bethany Bible Class aide at the church. She was also a member of the Missionary Society of the church. Mrs.Mullen was preceded in death by her husband,William H.Mullen,on July 3,1979,and by one son,Edward Mullen. Surviving are two sons,William T.Mullen and James Mullen,both of Belle Vernon,three daughters,Mrs.Robert (Dolores) Stoessner of Clearwater,Fla.,Mrs.Joseph (Theda) Niedzwicki of Norwalk,Ohio,and Mrs.Ernest (Marilyn) Legg of Belle Vernon,one-daughter-in-law,Gerry Mullen,of Belle Vernon,13 grandchildren,22 great-grandchildren,and one great-great-grandchild. Friends will be received at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and until 11 a.m.,Tuesday,the hour of services in the funeral home,with the Rev.Mary Howard,pastor,Marion United Presbyterian Church,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery,Belle Vernon,Pa. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
