Fred Matrozzo;Jr.;of 229 Water St.;Belle Vernon;died Monday;Dec.10;1984;at 5:30 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Twp. He was 46. Mr.Matrozzo was born Aug.31;1938;in Donora;a son of the late Fred Matrozzo;Sr.;who died in 1973;and Theresa Settimio Matrozzo;who died in 1984. He was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. Employed as a heavy equipment operator;Mr.Matrozzo was a member of Local 66 of the International Union of Operating Engineers. A Belle Vernon resident most of his life;he served with the U.S.Army during the late 1950’s. Survivors include his widow;Shirley Bellingham Matrozzo;a brother;James J.Matrozzo of Belle Vernon;a sister;Delores Hauser of Monessen;and six aunts and uncles;Anthony Matrozzo of Belle Vernon;Angeline Cherock and Ralph Matrozzo; both of Arlington;Va.;Patrick Vadella of Elco;Joseph Vadella of Belle Vernon and Loretta Amorso of Donora. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where a prayer service will be held Thursday;Dec.13;at 9:30 a.m.;followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon.
