Virginia W. Martin of 416 Lincoln Ave.,Charleroi,died in the Mon valley hospital on Tuesday, June 5,1984 at 2:18 a.m. She was 73. Born in Belle Vernon on Jan. 3, 1911, she was the daughter of the late James and Alice Luce Ward. Mrs. Martin was a member and state treasurer of the North American Benefit Association. She had been a resident of Charleroi since 1957. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Reed and Blanche Bonucci. Surviving are her husband, Charles A. Martin; a daughter, Mrs. James (Joyce) Visco of North Charleroi; a sister, Leathe Kenneweg of Brownsville and one granddaughter, Sandra Visco. Friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon, where funeral services will be held Friday,June 8 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Francis M. Blair, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Charleroi officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
