Domenico A.Mendicino of 334 Hill St.;Belle Vernon;died Wednesday;April 11;1984;at 4:06 a.m.in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Twp. He was 87. Mr.Mendicino was born April 3;1897;in Nocere Terinese;Italy;a son of the late Michael and Anna Curcio Mendicino. He retired in 1962 as a foreman with the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad. Mr.Mendicino was preceded in death by his wife;Josephine Ambrose Mendicino;on Oct.29;1972. A resident of the Belle Vernon community the past 70 years;he was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon;and the Sons of Italy. Surviving are three sons;Michael;James F.and Joseph Mendicino;all of Belle Vernon;five daughters;Mrs.John (Ann) Ross;Mrs.Nick (Adeline) Niccelelli;Mrs.Ralph (Norma) Falbo and Mrs.Donald (Teresa) O’Toole;all of Belle Vernon;and Mrs.Leo (Rose) Sabatini of Lake Orion;Mich.;one sister;Mrs.Rose Vaccaro of Belle Vernon;28 grandchildren;and 32 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held at 9:30 a.m.Saturday in the funeral home;followed by a 10 a.m.Mass of Christian Burial at St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
