Obituary

Clyde W.Miller of 869 McKee Ave.,Monessen,died Saturday,Nov.14,1981,in St.Luke's Hospital,Sioux City,Iowa. He was 86. Mr.Miller was born March 13,1895,in New Kensington,a son of the late Thomas and Lillian Coughnour Miller. A Monessen resident for most of his life,he was a retired employee of the Electric Shop of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation's Monessen Plant. Mr.Miller was a U.S.Navy veteran of World War I.Since his retirement,he has spent his winters in Monessen and his summers in Moville,Iowa. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the F&AM Lodge No.638,both of Monessen. Mr.Miller was preceded in death by his first wife,Maude Miller,in 1960. Surviving are his second wife,Zada Rawson Miller,at home,one step-son,Dwight Rawson,of Moville,Iowa,and three sisters,Ruth Taeff and Helen Aldridge,both of Weirton,W.Va.,and Blanche Simmons of Umstead,Ohio. Friends will be received at the Rhome Funeral Home,Inc.,1209 Grand Blvd.,Monessen,Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m.and 7 to 9 .m. Masonic Services will be held Friday at 10 a.m.in the chapel of the funeral home,with the Rev.Howard W.Greenfield,III,pastor,First United Methodist Church,Monessen,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Rhome Funeral Home,Inc.,is in charge of arrangements.
